Aberdeen College of Performing Arts

Welcome to Aberdeen College of Performing Arts, located in the heart of Aberdeen, Scotland. We are proud to offer two accredited 2-Year Full-Time programmes:

 

  • Higher National Diploma (HND) in Musical Theatre

  • Higher National Diploma (HND) in Acting & Performance

 

Both courses are accredited by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA). As the only dedicated Performance Arts College in Northeast Scotland, we are committed to providing high-quality, professional training in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Affordable Training

  • Our course fees are designed to be budget-friendly. Students can apply for SAAS funding and bursaries, making quality training accessible to all.

Small Class Sizes

  • With fewer than 20 students per course, our intimate class sizes ensure personalised attention and a nurturing learning experience.

Comprehensive Training

  • Weekly dance classes and sessions with a Personal Trainer keep students physically prepared for the demands of performance.

Additional Qualifications

  • Beyond HNDs, students can pursue:
    Grade 8 and ATCL Diplomas with Trinity College London

Expert Faculty and Guest Tutors

  • Our core team consists of highly qualified professionals and active performers. Additionally, guest tutors—including choreographers, singers, dancers, and actors—regularly visit to share insights from their experience on the West End, national tours, television, and film.

Private Singing Lessons

  • Personalised vocal training is available to all students.

Achievements

  • We have a 100% pass rate for HND qualifications, with 85% of students achieving an ‘A’ grade.

Spotlight Graduate School

  • As a recognised Spotlight UK Graduate School, our students gain Spotlight memberships in their final year, equipping them with industry tools for a professional career.

Professional Recognition

  • Our courses are recognised by Equity, allowing students to join as members from the start of their training.

Industry Representation

Students at Aberdeen College of Performing Arts gain a significant advantage through our partnership with LEIGH ARTISTS, our associate talent agency.

Representation During Training

  • From their second year of training, students receive professional representation, helping them navigate auditions and industry opportunities.

Support After Graduation

  • Leigh Artists continues to represent our graduates during their first year in the industry, providing a seamless transition into professional work.
